Y orkie Poos are a non-shedding dog, usually considered hypoallergenic, making them a good choice for allergy sufferers. Although their coat can be wavy, curly, or straight and come in different colors, it should always be soft and silky.

T heir eyes are dark with a lively expression. They can be almond shaped or round. The nose is black. The ears may stand up like a Yorkie's , may drop like a Poodle's or be somewhere in between the two. The feet are small and oval shaped.   The tail is often docked.

A s with any hybrid, the the Yorkie Poo's personality is a combination of both parent dogs. The Poodle is renown for it's intelligence and high trainability, and the Yorkie for it's feisty, adventurous personality.  The Yorkie Poo is generally  friendly, self confident, loyal, energetic, brave, intelligent, sweet, and loving. They love their family very much and would have their feelings hurt if left out. They may be small but are quite athletic and can run very fast. Although this beautiful mix is easily trained they can be quite stubborn. The Yorkie Poo truly thinks that it is a big dog. Even though they are small in stature they are quite fearless and generally make an excellent watch dog.

T he Yorkie Poo does well in an apartment or a house. It is happy to cuddly up in your lap, or go for a nice, brisk walk. Due to their spunky, spirited nature, they normally are quite playful and thrive with  a lot of mental stimulation.

T hey are a very versatile little dog and can usually adapt quite nicely to most lifestyles.
