Proper grooming is more than just having him look and feel good. Keeping your dog well-groomed is vital to his continued good health, and it’s more than just a bath. Grooming your dog includes brushing, combing, keeping his teeth and ears clean, and clipping his nails. It means keeping him in top shape.
I f your dog doesn't look good he probably doesn't feel good, either. A lackluster coat or one that’s plagued with parasites and sores is a good indication that your dog isn't as healthy as he should be. That’s because his coat mirrors his health. His outward appearance can be a sign of internal problems that no amount of brushing can fix.
U ngroomed dogs are more likely to be infected by internal and external parasites such as fleas and ticks. They can harbor dangerous diseases,such as roundworms, sarcoptic mange, Lyme disease, and Rocky Mountain spotted fever which, in addition to affecting your dog, can make your entire family sick. Ungroomed dogs can also carry fungi such as ringworm that children and the elderly can pick up.

I offer more than 20 yrs. of professional grooming experience and I still love what I do. Each dog gets personal attention from start to finish as I book only one dog at a time. Now specializing in small dogs, both purebreds and “designer breeds”. Although proficient in most breed clips , I enjoy working with the owner to create an attractive professional cut that looks good, is easy to maintain, and helps accent each dogs unique personality. It’s important to start your puppy no later than 4 mos. with a positive grooming experience. I encourage owners to stay for that first appointment to learn about proper brushing techniques, suggested grooming tools, and bathing procedures. A clean, healthy, well maintained coat is a reflection of a caring and committed owner.
